Our Intro to BJJ program is the perfect starting point for anyone new to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, whether it’s your first class ever or you’ve trained for fewer than 6 months. We love beginners, and we’ve designed this course to help you feel confident, safe, and supported from day one.
Over 8 weeks, you’ll build a strong grappling foundation that will serve you throughout your jiu jitsu practice. You’ll learn the fundamental movements, positions, and principles that guide effective jiu jitsu. You’ll also begin to participate in live training in a controlled and encouraging environment.
This course meets twice a week and includes a complimentary uniform (gi), so you’ll have everything you need to step on the mat and get started. When you complete our Intro program, you will be eligible to advance to our All Levels classes. Start your jiu jitsu journey with us today!
Our Axons program is designed for kids aged 8 to 12, whether they’re brand new to jiu jitsu or have recently graduated from our Dendrons program.
Like our Dendrons program, our Axon curriculum is built upon principles of playful learning, but engages with core concepts more directly. In this course, students form a strong community with their peers as they grow together into proficient grapplers.
This program also introduces specific training on jiu jitsu tournament rules and strategies in a safe and encouraging environment.
The Axons program meets on Monday / Wednesday from 5:00 - 6:00 pm and/or Tuesday / Thursday from 4:00 - 500 pm, with membership options for training two to four times per week.
At Synapse, we believe having a dedicated teens class is essential to the continued progress of our youth students. Our Neurons program is for teens aged 13 to 17, whether they are new to jiu jitsu or graduating from our Axons program.
In this program, students refine their grappling technique and engage in focused live sparring. For those interested in competition, we also provide dedicated training time to cover tournament rules and strategy.
The Neurons program meets twice a week on Tuesday / Thursday from 5:00-6:00 pm, with students having the additional option to participate in the adult classes with approval from Coach Nicolas.
